ICB Medical heat-moldable orthotics are specialized insoles made of 100% EVA (Ethyl-Vynil-Acetate) which they are placed between your feet and the underling ground in order to meet the ground reaction forces andplace the foot in the optimum functional position. EVA is anantialergic, closed cell, polymeric which has the property to mold, by applying on it heat. This way it can be shaped on the structural needs of your feet by one of our trained health professionals.

Two types of orthotics are sold in our days in the Greek market. The simpliest but less effective type of orthotic insoles are those which can be purchased «out of the selve» in pharmacy shops, orthopedic product retail shops and super markets.  The most important disadvantage of this foot insole orthotic type is that they have been constracted based on general population’s body characteristics. This means that on application, your feet are called to meet the structural characteristics of the orthosis, whereas in reality the opposite should happen! Needles to mention that inresponsible use of such insole orthotics may leed to uneven loading of the sensitive structures of the foot. That way instead of relieving the achy feet, using these orthotics may cause serious problems. 

The second type of insole orthotics, which is definetely better from the first, is those which are customised under medical referal and pelmatoraphy. However, the quality of the materials that these orthotics have been made of is based on the personal judge of the podiatrist and they don’t have the technological identity and waranty of a world known company which has invested time and money on scientific research studies. Thus, however the insole orthotics, following pelmatography, seem to meet the structural variations of each patient case, the questioned quility of the materials used fails to effectively support the needs of the feet.
